Blade Repair

Overview

Client got in touch regarding repairs that needed carried our on their blades.

Coast Approach

The blades were covered in debris, so it was hard to visually inspect them. We thoroughly cleaned them to facilitate a proper inspection.The blades were inspected with all damages noted. The blades were then tented to provide the perfect ambient temperature for the repairs. The repairs were conducted for trailing edge damage, and the 3m leading edge protection, found to be extensively deteriorated, was removed and subsequently reworked. The blades received a fresh coat of paint, restoring them to a pristine, like new appearance.

Deliverables

Having undergone the necessary repairs and enhancements, the blades are now in optimal condition for reinstallation onto the turbine. This means the turbine can resume power production.
