Arran Leiper joins Coast as an Intern

We are excited to announce that Arran Leiper will be joining us as an intern. He will be completing the course; ‘Engineering Training Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations. This course will allow him to go down many routes, such as becoming a wind turbine technician, site, and project management.

Arran will split his week with theory/practical at Dundee and Angus college and work based learning at Coast. Arran is joining a diverse, dynamic, and exciting company where he will gain experience and get the opportunity to complete his GWO courses to allow him to shadow our team out on site.

Work based learning is good for the individual, employer, and the economy. Arran will then look to go onto completing an apprenticeship. Apprenticeships are an exciting option, and you get hands on experience to put the skills you learn into practice.

Apprenticeships are available at multiple levels, from school leavers, people upskilling in their careers and complete career changes.

The renewable energy market is on the rise with no signs of slowing down. As the sector grows there are plenty of opportunity to work alongside new technology and advancements.

Bringing in young people to the business allows us to grow – young people are our future.

Our aim in future is to bring on more young people, just like Arran which will provide the future workforce.

Mark Robson, Managing Director said – “I am delighted to have Arran on board. It has been something we have been hoping to do for a while. There is nothing better than gaining hands on experience and he will get plenty of it here at Coast. Thank you to the team over at Dundee and Angus College for making this happen.”
